Centrifugal Pump Stands

One of the many applications for Centrifugal Pump Stands regards mud tank pipe fabrication. The Centrifugal Pump Stand shown here has yet to be fitted to an explosion proof electric motor and the 5 x 6 Centrifugal Pump.
After the Centrifugal Pump and electric motor are fitted
the belt will then be installed. The next step is fitting a
belt guard
to the Centrifugal Pump Stand. After this is completed, all components will be
removed and the Centrifugal Pump Stand will be painted, and the electric motor,
belt guard, and Centrifugal Pump re-installed for shipping. The pump stand as
shown will fit in a
mud tank pump house located on the end of the skid.
In many cases a mud tank is fitted with two centrifugal
pumps. The second pump provides a standby unit and is used when the primary pump
or primary motor fails in service. Of course
there are applications when both centrifugal pumps may be required.
